Evolation Yoga knows exactly how to get our attention: ask us to become more Self-centered. They propose that we can become healthier, happier and more in touch with the Self by combining the powerful physical properties of heated yoga with the awareness-enhancing effects of meditation. Okay, it's not quite the bottle-of-wine-and-a-pedicure we originally had in mind, but we're definitely listening.
As Evolation points out, our western conception of the word "self" is generally negative (think “self-absorbed” and “selfish”), perhaps because we've confused our outer layers with our core. But there’s nothing negative about nurturing the most basic elements of our being. In fact, it might be the most ego-free thing we can do.
So Evolation isn't about feeding the ego or looking smokin’ in a swimsuit (although that's certainly a possible side-effect). Rather, the goal here is to help you connect with your Self, with a capital S. When your mind’s chatter has ceased, and all that’s left is peace, stillness, and joy: that’s where you’ll find your Self, and that’s where Evolation aspires to lead.
One of the nicest things about Evolation is that they'll let you work on ceasing that mind-chatter whenever it's convenient for you, in an eclectic and stylish studio right in the middle of it all: the trendiest restaurants, a bustling downtown, and the historic Bayshore Boulevard. From varying levels of yoga classes to meditation instruction, workshops and retreats, Evolation is designed to help you find the Self-centered path that resonates with you. And that bottle of wine and mani-pedi can definitely wait until you're centered.

Joshua Sanders- 5 stars
I was extremely skeptical to begin with- having done various (what I considered) strenuous, demanding workouts in the past, I did not think this could possibly stack up. HOWEVER, neither rowing, or taekwondo, or long distance running, or competitive soccer, or climbing, or ANYTHING I've ever tried up until this point has made me feel.
