This is as close as you can come to being in an actual NASCAR race without actually being a NASCAR star. It all starts when you arrive at the infield garage area where you’ll check in on a pit road at the hospitality trailer. There, you’ll get suited up in the appropriate racing gear, and attend a driver’s meeting with the crew chief. During the meeting, you’ll undergo a training and safety instruction session that’ll teach you all you need to know about your big NASCAR debut.

Then, when it’s your turn to drive, they’ll load you in and buckle you up in a real NASCAR race car. Once you get the “thumbs up” over the 2-way radio from the racing instructor, that’s when you can start burning rubber. During your 5 minute timed racing session, it’s up to you how fast you want to go. No instructor rides with you and there’s no lead car to follow. What’s more, passing is allowed! Just like in the real races!

And when you cross that finish line and the checkered flag waves, you’ll even get a graduation certificate and a souvenir racing license for bragging rights.
